Introducing LUMENS, A New Body of Work by Brigitte Balbinot

I am so excited to finally be unveiling my latest body of work, LUMENS. I have been working so hard, doing a lot of soul searching to finally find what “resonates” with me as an Artist. This is it! The message is simple, but yet profound … As we are constantly bombarded with information, the simplicity of the work encourages peace and clarity of thought. My aim for depth and textures symbolize a deep emotional response to the universal and the primal, leading the viewer into a state of contemplation and possible reflection. Objects such as parchment, stones, marble anything that holds energy feeds my inspiration. In this new body of work, I allow the mind the take pause so the painting can become a conduit to an alternate universe.

Hello All! I am kicking this new year with a BIG BANG with New work, New Gallery Representation and the Palm Beach Art Fair this month.

The Holidays have been crazy, thank God for a chance to finally regroup, take a breath or two and start the year with a new inspiration. Trying to stay centered I often call on my protective Angels for help! Here’s the result of that inspiration in my last work …

For those who have been following my work, it’s been a progression. I first started with acrylic work, was ok, but definitely not my favorite medium, at least not since I have discovered oil. Along the path of creativity, I have been intrigued by different aspects of nature. Currently there are two main organic things I am fascinated about, that’s TREES and STONES. So  naturally, I have to try to capture the essence of these onto the canvases…  Here’s a snapshot of the latest one…
