The Art Heals

Since my last blog post, quite a bit of time has elapsed, I have to admit that I am not the greatest at keeping up with my writing, so mea culpa. Life, my studio practice that keeps me going 9 hours a day, travels, family all of which can make it really challenging to carve time for a blog. That being said, I wanted to share with you what I have been up to these last few months. As of my last post, the direction of my work has become clearer. I continue to be deeply influenced by my European origins and yearly travels, and as I continue to develop my oil and cold wax technique, I am gradually getting happier with the quality of the work. To sustain my progress and continue to further my art education, I am continuously on the look out for ways to learn. To that end, I have recently joined the Creative Visual program created by Nicholas Wilton at Art 2 Life. It is a 12 weeks program that encompasses many aspects of  the artist’s life, from creative vision, personal voice to technical skills. I am about mid way through, and I have to say that it is life transforming in so many ways. As many of my fellow artists already know, life and art are intricately connected. The principles that Nicholas teach are incredibly transformative and I will try my best to share some of his blog posts with you on here so that you too can benefit from his vast knowledge.

For those of you that are connected with me on social media you probably have been able to follow my art progress and get some sneak peeks into works in progress. Here’s a few of the studies I have either completed or am currently working on…
